Statement:
My work revolves around explorations of the possibilities and limitations of ceramics as a medium.
Much of my current work explores the dynamic between carefully controlled shapes and sections where the marks of the makings determine the final outcome.
I also use black firing and different ways of smoke firing to achieve a finish where chance and the elements determine the final outcome.
I have also started working in bronze and glass and see this as a source of new and exciting possibilities and inspiration.
