Statement:

My work revolves around explorations of the possibilities and limitations of ceramics as a medium. Much of my current work explores the dynamic between carefully controlled shapes with a finish created by smoke firing, a technique where chance and the elements determine the final outcome.

I take my inspiration from the environment around me with an interest in the contrast/interplay between the natural and man made and the rural and urban landscape.
